TRANCE
A trance is a dissociative state in which you’re less conscious of your surroundings and your actions than usual. That sounds a bit scary, but anyone who has ever been absorbed by a good book has experienced something like it. Have you ever felt like you were missing part of your memory after a long drive? You’ve arrived at your destination on auto-pilot. Occurrences like that can also be viewed as a light form of trance. Lots of different things can make someone go into a trance. Sometimes, this can be dangerous. Other times, it can be completely innocent. Some religions and cultures even try to make people enter a trance on purpose.
